Meet Jennifer Wagner: Newest Pediatrician of Nurture Pediatrics

Just like Nolensville has grown, so has the community’s only pediatric primary care office of Nurture Pediatrics since it opened in 2018 by co-owners Drs. Susan Langone and Catherine Bottoms.

To meet the influx of new and young families moving to Nolensville, Nurture has welcomed two new providers to their Nolensville location, Dr. Jennifer Wagner and Madeline Locke, CPNP-PC. These additions afford much more availability to meet the community needs. Expanding the well-established team to 10 providers, Nurture is committed to providing exceptional, evidence-based medical care to children from birth to age 19.

“I want to be the primary care provider for my patients,” said Dr. Wagner, who completed residency at Vanderbilt and practiced for five years in Gallatin. “I want them to be able to see me for well visits and for sick visits. I want to get to know them and grow with them.

“It is the best part of our job! And it’s so beneficial to the families to have that point person and have a provider they can see rather than a bunch of different people at walk-in clinics.”

Nurture’s providers take great pride in their “Call Us First” initiative to be accessible to families when questions or concerns arise within or outside of business hours. Their providers are on-call 365 days a year, holidays included. “Most often, we can save parents a trip to a walk-in clinic or ER,” said Dr. Langone.

“We’re blessed to have some amazing providers,” Dr. Bottoms said. “Since 2020, we’ve seen a significant escalation of anxiety, depression, and behavioral health needs. We have many providers who are very skilled in those areas.”

“I grew up in a small town with everyone going to the same doctor’s office and we wanted to create that in Nolensville,” Dr. Bottoms said about expanding their Smyrna practice. Dr. Wagner, Dr. Bottoms and Tara Duke, FNP call Nolensville home and “are proud to be a trusted, reliable source for our town.”
