An Interview With NHS Dance Team Coach Carrie Gaddis
Coach Carrie, how are you feeling heading into this new dance season with the Nolensville team?
I’m excited and optimistic. We have a talented group of dancers and a lot of potential this season.
What are some of the key goals you have set for the team this year?
Our goals are to have engaging performances, build strong team unity, and represent Nolensville with pride.
Can you share any new routines, themes, or styles you’re especially excited to introduce this season?
These girls are great dancers and athletes! They have so many special skills and we are going to try to show them off more this year!
What qualities do you look for in your dancers, both on and off the floor?
Of course we want them to be skilled dancers, but we also look for girls who come in smiling with a great attitude.
How do you foster team spirit and maintain motivation throughout the
busy season?
We support each another and keep our team culture positive and encouraging.
What has been the most rewarding part of coaching the Nolensville Dance Team so far?
Getting to know the dancers better and watching them grow in confidence, skill, and character has been incredibly rewarding.
Are there any upcoming events, competitions, or performances the community should watch for?
We are having a Country-Western Themed Kid’s Clinic on September 18th. Participants will learn a routine and then perform on the football field.
What advice would you give to young dancers in Nolensville who dream of joining your team in the future?
Keep working hard, stay coachable, and never stop enjoying the process of learning and growing.
