Blood Bath! No Towels Required!
Brian Snyder, co-owner of Wash 37135 in Nolensville (as well as three other nearby locations — Dickson Wash 37055, Fairview Wash 37062, and newest location Jackson Wash 38301) is excited about playing host to the sixth annual Blood Bath in Nolensville and the third year partnering with Mill Creek Middle School Fine Arts.
“The Blood Bath has become so popular that we extended it to two nights, October 19th and 26 th from 6 pm to 9 pm. Guests can expect a family friendly haunt,” Brian said.
“Friendly” is the word Snyder chooses to use, but take just a small tip before you start moving through the haunt-filled venue — expect the unexpected and get ready for a few spooky jolts.
Think about it like this. It’s one thing to see the walking dead through the protection of your television screen but there may be a layer of goosebumps pop up on your arms when you see their bruised and battered flesh up close. Just remember, everyone is friendly!
Visitors will be gifted with free candy, glowsticks, and Blood Bath car air fresheners. No one wants to spoil your trip, but you should probably be warned that the water cascading from the car wash and on to your vehicle is blood red.
The overall decorations, including towering skeletons, witches, and other grim-faced creatures are truly awesome. You can take the images home with you since the terror-filled course has plenty of places to stop for pictures.
For Brian, hooking up with Mill Creek Middle School Fine Arts’ theatrical group was the Blood Bath production’s piece de resistance.
“The teacher is Aly Isom, and she’s fantastic,” Brian said.
“Under her direction, it’s amazing what a theatrical approach those kids bring to the entire Blood Bath event. They have professional level costumes, makeup, and larger-than-life performances. We have tremendous respect for the school and for what it contributes to our town, which is one of the main reasons we look for ways to sponsor and support it.”
One of those ways is through the Blood Bath event. Wash 37135 offers its Platinum Ceramic wash only during the two-day Blood Bath celebration.
The cost is $25 per car, with 50 percent of that amount (and all other PAID washes) donated back to Mill Creek Middle School Fine Arts. “We have around 2,500 members who, if they choose, can get in free that night since they have paid for the service,” Brian explained. “But all donations for the middle school are absolutely appreciated. Cash, check and Venmo are accepted.”
The Blood Bath is a ton of fun for adults and kids, its quality and appeal elevated significantly by the layer of professionalism provided by the school. At the same time, it’s hard work for the students, who perform rotating scripted skits. Other students use choreographed, Halloween-themed dances to entertain visitors waiting in line. Still others interact and engage with thosesame customers. The objective is to never have a blank, empty, boring moment for anyone who drove to Wash 37135. At 9:05, all the participants can look at one another, give a jubilant high five, and declare “Mission Accomplished!”
“The first Blood Bath was in 2019, the year we launched our car wash business in Nolensville,” Brian said. “Since then, everything has grown. We have four car washes, and each one has its own Blood Bath. As we noted earlier, the Nolensville Blood Bath is so popular we changed it to two days to accommodate everyone.
“Cars come in filled with the vehicle owners, neighbors, friends, and big-eyed little kids turning their heads to look at everything. There’s an air of fun, celebration, and community spirit. We’re able to give back to the school who gives us so much. To me, things just don’t get much better than that.”
