Congratulations, Montique Luster, CMC
The Town of Nolensville proudly congratulates our Town Recorder, Montique Luster, on earning the prestigious Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC).
This nationally recognized certification is awarded to municipal clerks who have demonstrated the highest levels of professional achievement, educational commitment, and public service excellence. With only 23 individuals currently holding the CMC designation in Tennessee, Montique’s accomplishment is both rare and remarkable.
To earn the CMC designation, Montique completed:
• 60 education points (equivalent to 120 instructional hours) through IIMC-accredited coursework,
• 50 experience points reflecting years of municipal service, project leadership, and professional involvement,
• Two years of active IIMC membership,
• And a comprehensive portfolio and application review process.
Her coursework spanned vital areas such as Public Administration, Municipal Law, Parliamentary Procedure, Records Management, Ethics, Conflict Resolution, and Technology Modernization—each supporting her drive to enhance the Recorder’s Office and serve the Nolensville community with integrity and innovation.
In addition to her service at the local level, Montique contributes statewide as the Middle Tennessee Director for the Tennessee Association of Municipal Clerks and Recorders (TAMCAR), further exemplifying her leadership and dedication to professional excellence.
We are incredibly proud of Montique’s achievement and the level of professionalism she brings to our Town. Her commitment to lifelong learning continues as she now works toward her Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) designation—the highest level of certification in the field.
Please join us in celebrating this outstanding accomplishment and the positive impact Montique continues to make in municipal government and beyond.
