Experience a More Youthful and Healthier You at Nolo MedSpa & Wellness!

Not a day goes by when Jamie Barnett doesn’t look around her med spa and wonder how she got to this point in her new career so quickly. The past two and a half years have certainly been a whirlwind, as Jamie went from being a registered nurse and CRNA at a local hospital to becoming the owner and visionary behind the wildly popular Nolo MedSpa & Wellness. In that time, she outgrew three spaces — including her own home — and now has two successful locations, a knowledgeable staff, a growing list of services, and a loyal client base that insists Nolo MedSpa & Wellness is the new standard in beauty, confidence, and well-being.

“It was just me in my house when I started,” she said with a laugh. She now has two aestheticians, two nurses, and two front desk personnel between her main spa in Nolensville and a satellite location in Eagleville. “I was doing Botox and a few fillers, and I tried everything out on myself first to ensure there wasn’t anything gimmicky that didn’t provide good results. I still do that to this day. Our space is 1,300 square feet compared to 300 at the previous ones, and we’re already outgrowing this, too.” Jamie added, “Everything with this place has grown quickly, including our services.”

The Med Spa industry continues to grow, which is great for anyone who wants to look and feel beautiful and healthy inside and out. That said, the industry isn’t regulated. Anyone wanting to open a spa can take a weekend course on Botox and other fillers. Naturally, this raises concerns over the skill level and knowledge these providers have and the impact on clients.  Nolo MedSpa & Wellness bucks that dangerous trend. Not only is the spa overseen by medical director Drew Moncrief, DO, but Jamie has over 18 years of experience as an RN and over 13 years of experience as a CRNA.

Born and raised in the Franklin area and a farm girl through and through, she grew up wanting to be a veterinarian. She eventually went back to school for her anesthesia license, then joined the team at Vanderbilt before ending up at Williamson Medical Center.

Her priorities shifted after the sudden passing of her husband, Greg, in 2022 due to a rare blood disease. With two young children in tow, she turned to the med spa world and had a chance to do something different with her life. She soaked everything in like a sponge, and she had a thriving business before she could blink.

“There were so many life changes, and I knew I needed to be with my kids more,” she said. “I kept thinking, ‘What can I do now that will give me flexibility yet still help people?’ I started with Botox and fillers, then bought my first laser and kept adding services.”

Today, her amazing team mirrors her experience and commitment. Abigael Selby and Amanda Graham are registered nurses who, like Jamie, have worked in emergency and surgical centers. Rounding out the  Nolo MedSpa & Wellness team are certified aesthetician Michelle Culver, board-certified nurse practitioner Jackie Warner, coordinator Jessica Warrick, and new team member Jillian Celiberti. Combined, they constantly seek continuing education courses and know what it takes to deliver excellent, compassionate, patient-centered care that achieves all skincare, appearance, and wellness goals.

Nolo Medspa & Wellness offers medical aesthetic services ranging from injectables, microneedling, lasers, facials, Hydrafacials, weight loss programs and IV therapy.

At Nolo Medspa & Wellness, they understand that no two people are alike. This is why they create a personalized experience for every client while promising the best results possible.

Beyond the services they provide, Jamie and her team strive to give back to their communities by supporting youth sports teams, schools, and more. They also partner with local small businesses to promote and support each other.

“There’s always something new coming out. It’s that way in healthcare, and it’s the same in our industry,” Jamie said. “But just because it’s new doesn’t mean it works. You must constantly educate yourself, be aware of what’s out there and whether or not it works, and do what’s best for the customer. It’s easy to go down the rabbit hole, but I want to hone in on what we have here.

“We want to be safe and focus on taking care of people the right way rather than making a quick buck. One of my main missions is to make sure every person who walks through our doors feels welcome, and we try to meet each one of their individual aesthetic and/or wellness needs.”
