In The Dugout With NHS Girl’s Head Softball Coach, Luke Patton

How many years have you coached at Nolensville High?

This is my 7th season.

What are your expectations of the 2025 Team?

We’ve been fortunate to participate in the State Tournament the past two seasons. While we would certainly love to make a return trip again this year, our only expectation for this season is that we work hard and play together as a team. If we do that, we will have a successful season regardless of our record.

Who are your key Seniors?

We have four seniors that are returning starters. Jaycee Bilbrey, Georgia Southern University signee, center fielder (2024: .391 AVG, 20 RBI, 49 R, 17 SB). Eva Armstrong, Lee University signee, second baseman (.350 AVG, 12 RBI, 43 R, 12 SB). Addi Leichty, left fielder and pitcher (.341 AVG, 6 HR, 33 RBI, 19 R). Lily Dale, University of the Cumberlands signee, third baseman (.348 OBP, 7 RBI, 19 R, 8 SB).

Top players to watch?

We have three other returning starters. Madi Creasman, junior, pitcher (179 IP, 24-2 record, 1.13 ERA). Peyton Vieira, sophomore, shortstop (.393 AVG, 5 HR, 42 RBI, 30 R). Lexi Sparkman, junior, catcher (.324 AVG, 11 RBI, 8 R).

Any new players that will make an impact this year?

The rest of our roster is made up of the following excellent players: Seniors – Emma Jadwin, Lindsey Maneval; Juniors – Sarah Chittom, Ava Lavender, Ella Noe, Avery Underwood, Alyssa Utz; Sophomores – Anna Dotson, Bridget Woods; Freshman: Piper Bailey, Elliana Burrell, Juliet Jones, Waverly Phillips.

What should fans know about this year’s team?

This year’s team will be a lot of fun to watch. The girls play with great enthusiasm and all-around skill. They have been working hard since July preparing for this season. We hope the community will come out and support the Lady Knights!

Also anything else you want to say about this year’s team?

We have 5:00 PM home games on March 4, 18, 20, 27, and April 8, 17, 23, 24, and an 11:00 AM home game on April 18.
