Meet Coach Scott Stidham
Nolensville’s New Head Football Coach
Nolensville High School hired veteran coach Scott Stidham as its third head football coach in the program’s history. He steps into the role following the departure of Paul Derrick, who led the Knights for seven seasons before stepping down in March.
“I am very thankful to Dr. Calvert, Mr. Vassar, Coach Hudson, and the entire selection committee for giving me the honor of being the third head football coach at Nolensville High School,” Stidham said in a statement. “I’m honored to follow in the footsteps of Coach Paul Derrick and, before him, Will Hester. They laid the foundation in 2016, and they are the reason Knights football has been so successful.”
Stidham brings over a decade of coaching experience to the Nolensville sidelines. He most recently led the South Gibson High School football program in West Tennessee for 13 seasons, where he compiled a 79-41 record. Under his leadership, the Hornets reached the playoffs nine times and earned region championships in 2012 and 2019.
He also previously coached at Independence High School, giving him experience in both Middle and West Tennessee football programs.
“I look forward to working daily with the coaches and players to continue building a program that our school and the Nolensville community will be proud of,” Stidham added. “It’s a great day to be a Knight!”
Stidham takes over a Knights program with a strong foundation and high expectations. Nolensville has quickly grown into a competitive team in the region, thanks to the groundwork laid by Hester and Derrick. Now, with Stidham at the helm, the Knights are poised for the next chapter of success.
