Meet the 2025 NHS Cross Country Coaches

Noel W. Hansen  and Alicia Arnold

Coach Noel W. Hansen was an Assistant coach with the team last year and moved into the head coaching position when Coach Demetra moved over to Brentwood as their XC coach. He will be joined by a new Assistant Coach Alicia Arnold who is also coaching XC and track at Sunset middle School. 

Coach Hansen also spent 32 years of head XC and track coaching in Texas and 3 years at Fairview before starting at Nolensville.

We are very excited about about both the boys and girls teams heading into the season. The boys team has some really nice depth coming off their 2nd place finish at state last Nov. 

Max Massey, Avery Manternach, and Langston McGhee are Sr’s who ran on that state team and have provided great examples and leadership for our boys team this summer. They will be joined by Juniors Alex Burns, and Carlos Vergara and Sophs Alex Sasaran, and Isaiah Smidt. Sr’s Walker Sloniecki, Dempsey and Grady Salisbury and John Barreiro will be contributors in addition to Fr Cooper Looney.

The girls team coming off a 3rd place state finish will miss three time state champion Claire Stegall but we are expecting great things from Jr’s Sophia Priddy, Anna Lasher  and Keira Stegall and Soph Piper McKinney all returners off that state team. They will joined by Jr’s Avery Russell, Lia Pennartz, Ivy Talbot, and Myla MacLean. Soph Allie Hutcherson and Fr Gabby Burns should also contribute at the varsity level.

We really like this group of runners. They work hard, are appreciative of each others efforts and are enjoyable to coach.
