How many years have you coached at Nolensville High?
This is my 9th year at Nolensville. I have been the girls head coach since the school opened.
What are your expectations of the 20224-25 Team?
Our expectations for this season are to compete once again for a district championship. We won the district last season and return almost our entire team. We lost last year in the Region Semi-Finals so we ultimately would like to advance to the Region Championship this year and have a shot at making the state tournament.
Who are your key Seniors?
Our key seniors are Leilani Washington, Olivia Galloway, and Summer Smith. They have all 3 been in the program since their freshman year. Leilani and Olivia have been starters for the past 3 years.
Top players to watch?
Top players to watch would besides Leilani and Olivia would be Juniors Sara Brakefield and Reese Mall and Sophomore Nyla Johnson.
Any new players that will make an impact this year?
I expect Junior Brennan Rigsby to make an impact this season. She is returning from an injury that kept her out last season. Sophomore Addie Harris and Freshman Josie Ladd should also have an impact on the team.
What should fans know about this year’s team?
This years team returns all 5 starters from last years District Championship team. We hope to return back to the district championship game this year.
