Pedaling into the Future
Nolensville Police Introduces Bike Patrol
Nolensville is growing quickly, and with that growth comes new ways for our police department to stay connected and keep our community safe. One of the most exciting additions this year is the launch of the Nolensville Police Department Bike Patrol Unit—bringing officers out from behind the wheel and onto two wheels.
Made Possible by Community Support
This new unit would not have been possible without the generosity of “Mercedes-Benz of Music City,” whose donation funded the purchase of the bicycles. Their gift is an investment not only in equipment but also in the safety and well-being of our residents.
Why Bike Patrol Matters
Bicycles give officers a unique advantage: they can go where cars can’t—whether through neighborhoods, onto our expanding greenways, or right into the middle of community events like the Farmers Market or Buttercup Festival.
Just as important, bike patrols are approachable. Residents find it easier to stop and chat with an officer on a bike than one driving by in a patrol car. That kind of friendly connection helps build trust and strengthens the bond between the police department and the community.
What You’ll See Around Town
The Bike Unit will be a regular presence at community gatherings, school-related events, and downtown activities. Residents will notice officers patrolling on two wheels during crowded events, offering an extra layer of safety while still being right there alongside families, kids, and neighbors.
A Partnership in Action
The Bike Unit is about bringing our officers closer to the community, and we’re grateful for the support that made this possible. This is truly a partnership between our department, our residents, and our business community.
So, the next time you’re enjoying Nolensville’s greenways or strolling through a festival, don’t be surprised if you see one of our officers pedaling by. Be sure to wave, they’re out there riding for you.
Donor Spotlight: Mercedes-Benz of Music City
The Nolensville Police Department extends its thanks to Mercedes-Benz of Music City for making the new Bike Patrol Unit a reality. Their generous donation provided the bicycles needed to launch this program, giving Nolensville officers the ability to be more mobile, more visible, and more connected to the community.
Partnerships like this show the power of businesses and communities working together. “Mercedes-Benz of Music City has given us more than equipment—they’ve given us the opportunity to be present with our residents in a new and meaningful way.”
Thanks to their generosity, Nolensville’s newest patrols will roll forward on two wheels, carrying with them the support of a community that believes in working together for safety and connection.
