Q & A With Coach Juliana Dunn

How many years have you coached at Nolensville High?

This is my fourth year coaching the NHS Dance Team.

What are your expectations of the 2023 Team?

I know they will rock their football and basketball game performances as well as their sidelines! We are excited to continue growing in our bond as a team. This makes a huge difference when performing with each other!

Who are your key seniors?

All six of the seniors are fantastic and so entertaining to watch. They all are ones to watch! Lily and Emerson are our team Captains. Charlotte gets us ready for practice by warming up the team. Natalia makes sure communication goes out to the team and sends out reminders. Ella is our sideline captain, so she taught the sidelines to our new members and relays the diddies at football games when I can them. Siri handles photos and videos and all things design. They all are so encouraging to the team and help support them in any way they can! They have been great at stepping up to be leaders for this team.

New members of the squad to watch?

The freshmen class is incredibly talented and love to perform. They all bring their different strengths to add to this wonderful team!

Anything about this squad that will make them make an impact this year? Award things like that.

The NHS Dance Team participates in the Nolensville Christmas Parade, throws two kid’s clinics a year, participates in multiple NHS and community events, and has earned awards for State, Regionals, sportsmanship, staging, and technique.

What should fans know about this year’s dance squad?

The dance team works so hard to get the crowd excited at football and basketball games and puts in hours of practice a week at varsity practice and on their own time so they can perform their best. They love performing at pep rallies and in front of the fans and the student section at football games. They were so excited for this year’s first football game and can’t wait until they get to be on the sidelines again cheering on NHS!

Anything else you want to say about this year’s group?

I absolutely love each and every NHS Dance Team member and appreciate how much time, energy, and love they put into the dance season and team. It is such a fantastic team because of how they all share their love and support for each other, as well as NHS!

Go Knights!
