FORMERLY BURNETT BODY

“Our goal is to help our clients become the best versions of themselves guided by our knowledge and expert coaching!”

Often, great adversity leads to incredible innovation. This is the case for Chase and Kate Burnett. The couple have been providing top-tier personal training, nutrition, and wellness services in the area for nearly five years, but not before significant life changes led them to where they are today.

“My journey into personal training began while I was living in New York City and working as a TV and commercial actor,” Chase said. “Initially, personal training was a side gig to help make ends meet, but it quickly turned into a profound passion. When I faced a serious back injury that led to chronic pain, I found myself on a challenging path to rehabilitation.    This personal struggle deepened my commitment to understanding the body and movement.”

Kate’s story is similar. “My career began in the competitive world of equestrian sports, where I spent years traveling across the country, earning 7 World Champion and 3 National Champion titles.  However, the physical demands of the sport started to take a toll on my body, leading to frequent injuries, compounded by lack of understanding about nutrition and recovery,” she said. “At the same time, I was diagnosed with multiple tick-borne illnesses that triggered autoimmune issues. This prompted me to overhaul my approach to training and recovery.”

Kate went on to become a nutritionist, yoga instructor, CPT, and Certified Women’s Coaching Specialist. “I wanted to help others navigate their own unique challenges,” she said. “After moving to Nolensville and becoming a mother to twins, I used my expertise in nutrition and pregnancy/postpartum training to support other women through their own journeys to health and confidence.”

Chase also spent the next several years pursuing health and wellness. “Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working at top gyms like Equinox, Complete Body, and Orange Theory, learning from some of the best trainers in the industry. When we moved to Nolensville during the Covid pandemic, we transitioned to offering online training while we were still figuring out how to adapt to our new environment,” Chase said. “The desire for personal connection led us to start training out of our garage gym. This shift allowed us to build a strong community and help people make significant transformations in their lives, both in and out of the gym.”

The business was a natural evolution of their growth. “Together, our individual experiences and expertise converged to form Burnett Body. Our shared passion for helping others and our personal journeys of overcoming obstacles have shaped the foundation of our business,” Kate said.

With that goal in mind, the Burnetts are soon to open their new facility, Wilco Strength Lab. “We’ve put together a top-of-the-line strength training gym that will be ready to take on members starting in October,” Chase said. “We’ve carefully curated every piece of equipment to accommodate all styles of fitness – from powerlifting, to bodybuilding, to general fitness.”

The new gym will be versatile. “Wilco Strength Lab is a state-of the art facility designed for independent personal trainers as well who are looking for a home base to train their clients,” said Kate. “Our results-driven coaching model is centered on longevity, performance and community. There is a difference between training and simply exercising, and our goal is to help our clients become the best version of themselves guided by our knowledge and expert coaching,”
